Self-guided Centred Tour, 8 Days / 7 Nights, approx. 250 cycling km

Comfortable cycle tour in Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and South-Styria as well as sunny Burgenland. Daily transfers by bus with cycle-trailer to new and interesting starting points. Then you return to your hotel at your own leisure, taking time to taste local specialities and wines, visiting cultural treasures and enjoying ever changing countryside. Charming villages, beautiful vineyards and the river valleys of Mur and Drava are explored on quiet minor roads, carefully researched and signposted by our cycle specialists.

Recuperate in the warm thermal waters of Parktherme in Bad Radkersburg. Afterwards visit one of the many local „Buschenschanken“ - little wine taverns selling home-made products. Excellent Styrian wine and a generous pinch of Styrian hospitality are the final icing of the cake!

	STYRIA Individual journey to Bad Radkersburg Personal tour information, fitting of rental bikes.
	SLOVENIA Maribor - Bad Radkersburg (approx. 50 km) Maribor on river Drava with historic old town is a major centre of the region. Visit the oldest grapevine of the world (400 yrs. Old, entrance fee to museum included).
	HUNGARY Alsôszölnök– St. Anna am Aigen - Bad Radkersburg (approx. 55 km) Transfer to Alsôszölnök. Cycling through Hungary and Burgenland to the Slovenian Border using the Wine and Thermal Spa cycle path. Visit the Styrian Vinothek in St. Anna am Aigen (incl. 1 free wine-tasting), with marvellous views on the surrounding vineyards. Continue on the Slovenian Border to your hotel.
	CROATIA Štrigova – Bad Radkersburg (approx. 50 km) River Mur is the green life belt of this fertile farm country, wending her way in long bends through Croatia and Slovenia. You cycle through little villages on flat roads. As a final highlight you visit a wine-grower area in Slovenia with stunning views across the Mur valley.
	BURGENLAND Jennersdorf—Feldbach—Bad Radkersburg (approx. 59 km) Apple orchards are a major feature of the first part. Feldbach is a regional centre of the „Styrian Volcano Country“ with historic old town square. Bad Gleichenberg, a historic Biedermaier spa resort, was very popular during the Austrian Empire. The grand park and many a manor house date from this time. Past pumpkin fields and sleepy hamlets return to Bad Radkersburg.
	REST DAY Recuperate, enjoy the thermal spa and join the guided city tour of Bad Radkersburg.
	STYRIA South Styrian Wine-Street – Bad Radkersburg (approx. 45 km) Bus transfer into the lovely wine-hills of South Styria. This nature park rightfully carries the nickname „Styrian Tuscany“. Some ups and downs are followed by a long descent into Mur valley. Follow the tranquil Mur cycle path through shady river meadows back to Bad Radkersburg.
	Individual journey home or stay for some extra days.

Route Character
Cycle tour on asphalted minor roads or cycle paths through varied country. Short distances on busy roads—often on a cycle strip. Short and sometimes steep climbs can occur during most days. They can easily be covered by pushing the bicycle for a short stage—rewarded by stunning views and fresh downhill cycling afterwards.
