Discover the Western part of the United States on this scenic outdoor adventure tour full of natural splendour and cultural excitement off-the-beaten-track. The tour covers the North western Pacific states including Washington, Oregon and Northern California and starts either in San Francisco or in Seattle. Both cities are exceptionally beautiful and very much worth a visit. Francisco’s hillsides and historic districts are attractive and can easily be explore by public transportation. Seattle is named a metro natural city because it is surrounded by the most beautiful natural areas and at the same time the largest metropolitan site in the Northwest. Walk along sandy beaches, wander through the last temperate rainforests on the Olympic Peninsula and feel dwarfed by the giant Redwoods in California. Then drive over the famous volcanic Cascade Range, enjoy quiet lakes, and explore unique volcanoes including famous Mt. St. Helens, Crater Lake and Mt. Hood. Find yourself back in time by visiting historic mining towns including Jacksonville , listed on the national historic register, and Ashland, Oregon, famous for its Shakespeare Festival. See local Native American art and visit galleries in Oregon and Northern California. Route
 | Day 1: Seattle.
Welcome to Seattle! Our tour group will meet in the hotel lobby at 5:00pm and you will get to know each other at a group dinner (appetizer and drink included). |  | Day 2: Seattle – Olympic Peninsula – Port Angeles.
This morning, we enjoy a scenic ferry ride with beautiful views of the Seattle city skyline crossing Puget Sound, a marine waterway connected to the Pacific Ocean. We reach the Olympic Peninsula, home of the Olympic National Park. Weather permitting we drive the 17-mile long scenic road which winds up to Hurricane Ridge. |  | Day 3: Olympic National Park – Sol Duc Hot Springs - Rialto Beach – Hoh Rain Forest - Aberdeen.
We drive to Sol Duc Hot Springs for a relaxing swim in mineral hot springs and freshwater pools. Then we explore scenic Rialto Beach and stay for picnic lunch. Later we explore the area on an easy self-guided walk within the Hoh Rain Forest. |  | Day 4: Mt. St. Helens – Portland, Oregon.
Today’s highlight is active Mt. St. Helens volcano which erupted on 18th May 1980. At the visitor center we will watch a documentary about the eruption, before driving up to the Johnston Ridge Observatory at 4,314 ft.
Day 5: Portland - Columbia River Gorge - Mt. Hood.
Portland is also referred to as the "City of Roses" and we will take time to see the famous Rose Test Gardens. You can tour the city on your own or join us for a day trip to Mt. Hood. The journey begins along Historic Columbia River Hwy. with views of the mighty Columbia River. We take a walk at Multnomah Falls.
|  | Day 6: Portland – Oregon Pacific Coast - Yachats.
On the way to the Pacific we stop at Tillamook cheese factory. Travelling south along the Pacific coast we go for a hike among tranquil coastal forests at Cape Look Out.
Day 7: Yaquina Head Lighthouse - Oregon Coast Aquarium - Newport.
Today’s highlights include Yaquina Head Outstanding National Area with a working lighthouse. Then we head to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. Take a stroll through Newport’s old town and harbor. |  | Day 8: Cascade Range – Smith Rock State Park - Bend, Central Oregon.
We are heading inland through beautiful McKenzie River Valley traversing volcanic Cascade Range, part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Then on to McKenzie-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway. |  | Day 9: High Desert Museum – Newberry Volcano National Monument – La Pine.
In the morning we explore the famous High Desert Museum with indoor and outdoor displays highlighting Oregon's unique high desert topography, wildlife and culture. In the afternoon we explore Newberry Volcano National Monument. We picnic and hike at Paulina Lake. |  | Day 10: La Pine – Crater Lake National Park – Favell Museum – Jacksonville.
Today’s highlight is Crater Lake National Park with its incredibly blue and deep waters and magic silence. Then we visit Favell Museum with its unique collection of Native American and Western artifacts.
Day 11: Jacksonville – Ashland.
We do a wine tour through Southern Oregon's wine country. In the evening attend an optional theatre play or cabaret at Ashland’s famous Shakespeare festival with pre-ordered tickets. |  | Day 12: California Pacific Coast - Redwood National and State Park - Leggett.
Today’s highlight are the Redwood forests. A narrow gravel road leads to Stout Grove in Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park which contains a spectacular selection of old growth Redwoods. Reaching the California Pacific Coast we drive on the Pacific Scenic Byway Highway 101 with breath taking views over the ocean. |  | Day 13: Fort Bragg – Mendocino – Bodega Bay – Golden Gate Bridge – San Francisco.
At Fort Bragg we stroll through the Mendocino Botanical Gardens with its 47 acres of ocean front gardens and a trail along thunderous waves. Next stop will be in Mendocino with its art community and galleries. We will have a good-bye dinner (appetizer and drinks offered by Travel Dream West) in Sausalito on the Bay of San Francisco with a beautiful view of the skyline of San Francisco.
