Route

Hue and Hoi An, not like any other cities of Vietnam, perhaps in Asia, still remain calm, quiet and poetry places despite the flow of rush development as often seen in the country nowadays.

Once the centre of the culture, politic, religion and trading of Vietnam, tales of the two cities are rich with imperial palaces, royal tombs, pagodas and ancient town which luckily and amazingly survived after long and painful history of wars.

Peaceful might be the best word to describe the places. Pedaling on quiet streets, along the river, crossing the hundred year old bridges, on the rice field, in contact with soft, calm and friendly locals, all make the unique experience, perhaps of the life time.

The trip nevertheless, is a real adventure by nature that requires considerable efforts especially when biking up to the Hai Van (Ocean Cloud) Pass which is renowned for its scenic beauty. Presenter Jeremy Clarkson, host of the BBC Top Gear featured the pass during the show's 2008, Vietnam Special calling the road "a deserted ribbon of perfection-one of the best coast roads in the world.
